Now that Im gutting my car for the track, wondering what you thought of the stock BBS wheels that came on the IX SE? Do you think I should get a lighter weight wheel? What do you guys use? Thanks.

have you weighed the wheels? Also what kind of weight savings can one expect by spending the big $$$? If its like 10-20 lbs per wheel thats huge, anything under 10 ill stick with my BBS

i highly doubt that you are going to save save 10 or 20 pounds per wheel... even 10 is wayyyy too much so stick with your bbs... think about it if your bbs was 20 pounds you are looking for a wheel that weights 10 pounds lol... unless you get some 15's or something.

The stock BBS wheels are pretty light at 42.4 lbs per corner with stock tires mounted and If you are just getting into racing I would say keep them, theres really no need to go with lighter wheels right away. I can say that the Enkei RPF-1 wheels are lighter than stock really popular in competitive racing because of their light weight and being relatively cheap when being compared to other wheels in the same weight and performance bracket.
For me to answer your question simply, the stockers are fine and they are free because they came with your car! Thats the most bang for your buck out there.
Here are some threads that will help you out tons.

Tons of wheel info

I use the stock BBS's with R-compounds and they work great on the track. No complaints yet. Sure I would go with Volk Re30's CE28's in the 17x9-17x9.5's if money was no problem...but BBS's are light, looks great, and they cost you nothing if yours came stock.
