Need Tire Help!

I am looking for a good tire for my new rims. I just baught Advan RZ 18x9 +35 in dark gunmetal. I have a Evo 8 MR and still have the stock rims. I was thinking of getting Yokohama Advan Sport 245/35ZR18. I still have stock suspension, I dont want any rubbing so that is a big factor for me. I want a mean and aggresive look with my new rims. What is everyones suggestion on: Tire Size AND Tire Type? Pictures of suggestions would really help.

I'd suggest you go to tirerack.com and read up on there.

As for advan sport, those should be excellent summer tires, but for winter, I don't think you want to be sporting those...

I hope your getting tires not for looks, but rather for the performance...anything less would actually be a downgrade to your evo's ride and handling...

I am getting tires for performace and not just looks, that is why I am here asking for suggestions. I know of many places that will sell you ANY type of tires just so they get bigger comishion. I really dont need winter tires cause I will use the stock rims for winter tires.

245s would be a bit small for a 9" wheel - I'd recommend 255s. I absolutely love my new Dunlop Z1s - I posted a detailed review of my experience with them both on the street and the track. Do a search if you're interested

Bridgestone Potenza RE01R's are awesome summer tires! They grip like nobody's business.

Has anyone weighed the Dunlops? Tire Rack quotes 235/45/17 at 27lbs, compared to stock Advans at 25lbs and Michelin Pilots PS2 at ~22lbs.

Kumho has several offerings in Ultra High Peformance and Max and Extreme Performance Summer. Try either STP or MX tires you can't beat price/performance tradeoff (you can see a lot of Kumho tires in pro racing events)

A 255/35-18 would be a nice fit w/out any rubbing issues. As others above had said, similar tires to the OE would be B-Stones RE-01R, Dunlop Z1 Star, and Yoko Advan Sport. Any of those three would be excellent extreme/max perf tires.
