I just installed a set of Racing Brake ET500s, and I have more pedal travel than I expected (first time changing pads on this car). I followed the correct procedure, and made sure to replace the brake fluid reservoir cap after I was finished. Also checked the level and it was just below Max. I figured normal travel would return after the bed in procedure (I followed RB's instructions), but that wasn't the case. Can anybody help me out?
Thanks

I'm assuming you re-used the stock shims? I replaced my pads for the first time 3 weeks ago with ds2500s and it feels as if I also have slighlty more brake travel than the Brembos. I haven't added the braided lines yet or replaced the fluid so I'll see what happens in the next few weeks when I do. My Brembos still had a good 5k miles left in them.

Bleed the brakes...again. It took me 3 times to get all the air out of the lines after installing new pads, rotors and braided lines.
A soft pedal with long travel is a sure sign of air in the lines somewhere.
