If you are still trying to tighten the strut rod nut on top, here is how I did on a set of KW V2's (same as V3's in that aspect) I used a strap wrench, but not like you're supposed to use it. I just used the rubber strap as a pad for a pair of vise grips to hold the shaft. (you may have to unload the springs to get the vise grip inbetween the coil spacing. Then use an impact on the strut rod nut. Spinning the strut rod can cause the seals to fail prematurely. Less spinning the better.
