Don't use the brakes....

I would rather clean brake dust off my wheels than petroleum jelly.

Youre going to get dust no matter what. A good rule of thumb is the better the pad compound the more its going to dust. If you track your car theres no way around it. If someone tells you that this brand stops well on the track and doesnt dust is lying to you.

i think there is a spray you can buy to spray on after you wash your wheels. it will help remove the brake dust easier next time around.

whatever you do, DON'T fall for the PAM/cooking oil thing. I was dumb enough to think people were serious and ended up spending ages cleaning gooey gunk with sand, dirt, and brake dust in it off my wheels. I was the butt of a joke.

A few of my friends who own Corvettes swear by this product called Rejex. I'm gonna try this and let you know if its worth purchasing.

I think there was a thread about it awhile ago.

I asked Robi to see his POV on these types of thing. Interestingly enough, he suggested using a light coat of PAM spray -I've personally seen him do this on his own track cars.

I tried that, and the result was what I posted above maybe I didn't use the right kind, but I was cursing every post I saw about that for every minute of the several hours I spent scrubbing the crap off all 8 of my wheels with bug and tar remover.
Just a warning to others.
