Brembo Fiber Shims

Hi guys,

I just replaced my original brembo brake pads with the Ferodo's DS2500. The problem is that they squeal very load when the car almost comes to a stand. I've read some threads here that the original fiber shim that sticks on the back of the brembo pad could solve the problem. I have two questions about that:
1) How do you get those things of the pad?
2) With what do you stick them back on the new brake pads, since the temperature can be very high.

Thanks
Michaël

I did not reuse the fiber shims and have no noise. I reused the metal shims and put high-temp anti-seize everywhere. I greased up the entire back of the pads, both sides of the metal shims, and the top and side edges of the pad backing plate. I also put anti-seize between the pins and the pad retaining spring. This is my second set of Ferodo DS2500s and I have never heard a single squeek from my brakes.

There are various approaches to getting them off the pad. Check this thread for some previous discussion: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ht=Fiber+Shims

I know I went over kill on the anti-seize grease, but I also know I'd rather do that than have to listen to my brakes. It doesn't really cost much.

Are you supposed to use the copper anti seize like this one https://www.neverseezproductscart.co...13c5b5d435a81a

or the brake quiet like this one
