I reused my stock shims and used hi-temp grease... Sounds just as quite as stock.

Im having some "tak tak tak " sound when I apply my brakes with my hawk and centric drilled and slotted rotors. The shims are not installed. Im assume this is needed to solve the problem?

I've always reused the stock shims and my brakes have been quiet. However, in your case I think it would be foolish to promise the same outcome. I'd suggest you try it and see what happens.

I checked the Hawk HPS pads and it seems that it has its own shims. I believe its the position of the slots..it should be like this ; // not like this: \\

I hope this helps anybody out there.
