Dont get drilled. Get slotted or blanks.

When it comes to 1pc rotors they are all pretty much shades of grey. The will all be made from premium materials, pillar vane, have some type of corrosion protection, and are blank, slotted, or crossdrilled. Crossdrilled rotors are cool to look at but can produce premature cracking from heat (especially around edge). If your only a street type guy and you like the look they are fine, but if you plan to track the car or autocross cross drilled is extra money wasted for a better set of pads

thanks for your answers... the Evo is my weekend car, i drive 40miles per week on it, and i dont go autocrossing, so Im not worried about cracking or other premature failure... So i suppose i will go for the better look of the drilled, rather than the better quality of the blank or slotted....

P.S. GIRODISC, i love your little icon. would love to get such rotors. but right now cannot afford

i had the R1concepts drilled/slotted rotors on my 99 cobra. they were 13" brakes and the look of them were great. the only problem i had is that the "Zinc" coating that kept em from rusting came off after about 100miles. guess thats what you get for going the cheaper route

I have a set of these on my SRT 4. Cross drilled and slotted version. After a year and a half of weekend use, and a handful of autox events and a lapping day. They are still tip top working order. The plating was fully functional untill the lapping day, then it baked off (a year after I got them) No warping no shreading pads. Overall very happy with them for the price.
