Need cheap tires this year, dont know what to get?

So this year is going to be a tight one as far as budgeting goes. So I need some cheap new tires (235/45), that dont suck. Any suggestions.

Tire need to last till mid summer on my budget.

It's cold, and rains where I live.

Never snows .

I only drag race 10 days a year (summer season).

I dont autocross, but thinking of doing it once or twice this summer, but mostly my car is to get me from point A to point B.

Thanks in advance!

PS

Are Sumitomo HTR+ good for only $80 a tire?

does it matter that those tires are summer tires, because the Sumo's are All-Season.

Agree with the Sumi's. Had those on one of my cars for a while and didn't dislike them.

Aren't the 912's the ones that won the budget tire shootout in Grassroots magazine? I could be wrong

My gf has them on her Mini and they are a little soft sidewall, but other than that I think they are pretty good for a budget tire.

yes, although for $7 more I'd be hard pressed to not buy the FK452s...

For the money I think I'm going to go with the Sumi's, and probably pick up some of those Dunlop star specs in the summer for racing. Thanks guys. You all helped alot!

PS

Hey Neal,

You think you can get me a deal on those sumi's if I order them from you?
