suspension & tire pressure for drag racing

I'm looking to improve my 1/4 times without doing any additional power mods. My best time was a 12.2 @ 113mph at Sacramento Race Way. 60ft was high 1.7 and I know if I get a better launch off the line, I get can get a 12.0 or better. It was only my third trip to the drag strip and I'm improving each time. Here is my current setup...

EVO IX GSR 5-speed
stock clutch, stock turbo
6,000 2 step rev-limiter
Falken Azenis 255/40/17 (tire pressure @ 27-30psi hot at the strip)
Megan street coilovers (8k/6k) adjusted stiff in front, soft in rear

What would be a desirable tire pressure for drag racing at the track? Also would like to know if there was a certain spring rate thats better suited for coilovers that see drag use.

Well, running a 255/40 tire doesn't help your times. They are shorter and heavier...shorter hurts your gearing and heavier sucks hp.

Secondly, I hated running the 615s at the drag way. They never got hot enough to stick - just not good drag tires. And with stiff sidewalls - they don't hook very well.

So, if DR is all you car about. Get a second set of rims and go with stock tire sizing, and all-season/lower end summer tires. They have less sidewall stiffness, will be the correct dia, and they will be lighter (in most cases -- dependent on tire).

And pressures depend on the track/day. I ran lower pressures though. My 11.x passes came from running 235/45 Sumi HTRII tires (summer tires) at 22-24 psi. I was cutting 1.61-3 60' all day on them.

Definitely not always true. Too low psi could also hurt the 60' times - poor tire contact patch. And too low of a psi could result in breaking the tire bead and having the wheel/tire split apart.

Is anyone that knows about suspension setup willing to share some information ?
I would get a professional to set it up but I live in Iceland so it would be really costly for me

apparently OEM suspension does great job at cutting 60' times down. Weight transfer is a good thing. Too stiff out back and you'll break or spin.
