Anyone using whiteline rear sway bar on an IX?
Hi,
I have searched with inconclusive results. I found someone selling a whiteline rear swaybar for 120. I am finding them online for 170-180 new.
That being said, would this be a good addition to my evo ix mr? I have used whiteline swaybars before on subaru's, but am not sure if its necessary mod for evo's.
I am open to hear your opinions before i purchase.

You will find a mix of opinions on here. I for one LOVE my rear sway bar.
Most of the hard core folks will attempt to convince you to go with stiffer springs.
In the end.... I believe a nearly stock EVO with RSB will be faster than one without.

I'm an average aggressive driver, not a hardcore track junky. So heres my .02...
On the street I didn't notice too much of a difference. During Autox the car felt much easier to turn and little more controlled which I felt let me take turns a bit faster before over doing it understeer played a roll.
Cheers!

I'd say that, yes, the Whiteline rear swaybar helps. Doesn't cure understeer but helps lift off rotation.
The Whiteline sways are a little more aggressive than others (Cusco etc.) which is why they seem to work better.
Stonger rear spring AND a Whiteline sway should enliven the rear nicely though.

Go for it. The front bar is nice to match up with the rear, but it's still good without it. The front bar install is also a PITA.

Thanks everyone!
I bought it and installed it already. (What a pain to install this on an evo.) Oh well its all in and seems good so far. I'll do some spirited driving tonight to test it out.
Thanks again,

Agreed 100% on the front bar. BTW, I LOVE my F/R Whitelines - fantastic handling and control, compared to running the rear only.

I have a WhiteLine RSB. No complaints yet, other than when I was trying to install it, it was a pain in the *** to slip the arms of the sway bar past the rear axles. I couldn't get it and tried to put the stock sway bar back in place to see what angle to slip it in and it slipped in super easy. Tried again with the WhiteLine and it wouldn't go. I got out a rubber mallet and beat the f*ck out of it until it slipped in.
I haven't installed any other name brand RSB's on an Evo, so I'm not sure if this is a commen thing or not.
Other than that, I LOVE it!
