Im rubbing and cutting the tire while turning all the way in... do I need to go to a smaller tire? Can I cut this piece out? HELP!
Wheels are 17 x10
Tires are 275 x40 x17

I spray painted the area black that is actually cutting the tire...

holy wide tires......hmmmm the width of the tires doen not seem to be the problem but i may be crazy.....depending on how deep that is maybe you can grind just a little bit of that metal away to take care of your problem....is it only on the one tire?....

A lot of people have had clearance issues with that body seam. Most people just take a BFH and bang on it until it doesn't rub anymore.

Are those the R888 Toyo's? If so, how are you liking them so far? (Sorry for the off-topic post).

I had the same prob with my 275's. I used a BFH at the track then when i got back to the shop I used a cut off wheel and a grinder to smooth it down. Then put a little under coat over it. GL

a lot of it is due to the height of the tire not so much the width of the wheels. Many Z guys have this issue, thats why when I had mine I went with an 18" setup with 285/30 instead of 275/40/17. The 18'' tire is considerably shorter and therefore causes much less issue in terms of rubbing

WTF???? Its because of the offset and the big tires, But it looks bad a** so dont change it.... Just cut the seam down. It wont hurt anything.

Please post wheel offsets for front and rear to run the 17 x 10 rims...and if spaces are needed to clear the stock Brembos!

Awesome setup!

nice setup. I like the 10" wheels with 275s. I used 9.5s for both of my sets (17 snd 18) and was okay even out to +22mm offset, but the 10s have so much more appeal. Nice to see you got it fixed. How is the clearance in the rear?
