For +22 or +35,255/35/18 or 265/35/18 should fit with some fender work
Agreed on the +22 Offset for 18x9.5 on an Evo 8/9. I run this setup on my Evo 8 and it fits pretty flush with the front fenders, rears with a rolled lip and slightly more aggressive camber than stock. I am also on 255/35R18 tires.

For +12 More camber and a narrower tire would be needed to fit with out much rubbing.

17x9.5 +28 is that custom or discontinued sizing? sounds perfect clears brembos?>

TE37 17x9 +35, 17x9.5 +28, 17x8.5 +30, clear brembo with no spacers.

See the picture of 17x9 +35, a lot of clearance. 17x9.5 +28 should clear even better.

Ive had these about a year and a half. Just forgot to post them.

TE37SL'S 18X9.5 +22 in diamond black. Wrapped in Hankook ventus 12's 245/35/18. rolled all around (didnt need to roll the fronts) rears are slightly pulled.
