Swift Spring... now I get a clunk
I just install some swifts on the Ix. Now, every time i make a full left turn I hear a clunk like something didn't sit correct. However the spring is sitting correctly on the top hat and perch. I am only noticing the clunk on the drivers side...
Anyone got any Ideas?? I had the GF turn the car and didn't see anything abnormal. i have yet to get the car aligned as I only finished them last night.

Did you align the holes on the upper hat and lower perch? There is one hole in each on the hat and perch they are supposed to be aligned top to bottom with the shaft or the spring will not sit correctly in the hat.

It will not sit in the pockets properly and possibly produce the noises described.
Take your time when you tighten the shaft nuts. When you go to torque the nut it will rotate the hat so you might need to clock the hat ahead so when you reach the final torque the holes align.

i turned the top hat so that the 3 bolts shift 1 hole. The mistake i made was not marking the 3 14mm bolts on top, I guess i just got lucky on the passenger side and it went in the same it came off, however not true with the driver side thus creating the noise "clunk" issue.
and the ride quality is freaking great!!! This is how the evo should have came out of the box.
I want to thank ebay for the cheap $$ swifts, and you guys for the help. Now i need to look for some bilsteins haha
