265/35/18

Same tyre circumference as well as overall tire height (25.3" and 79.5") respectively which means the speedo will function as it were on stock sized wheel/tyres.

no, it'd be 26" and 81.7" respectively. To calculate, you take

Tire Height = (width / 25.4) * aspect Ratio / 100
Tire Diameter = (2 * tire height) + rim diameter
Tire Circumference = tire diameter * PI

You are going to have to work the crap out of the rear fenders with those wheels. 255's will fit with the standard cut or roll of the fender. Anything wider will require pulling as well. Especially if you are going to track the car.

People have fit that wheel, but it takes lots of work out back.

Except that tire sizes are approximations and are different from one tire type to another. You have to check the manufacturer's specs to get the actual circumference. You only have to get close anyway. Your speedometer is only accurate to a couple mph.

For the OP, +27 is way too low an offset for that wide of a wheel. You should really be running a +32 or +35 offset.
