would you drive on these tires?

Bought these tires from a memeber. was not told about this gouge in the tire i guess must not of felt it was a big deal but it worrys me

this is a 245/45 azenis

No way would I drive on a tire with a gouge in the sidewall like that. Not safe.

not from shipping cause it was covered by packaging. this looks like to me he hit a curb or something

this damage was for sure prior to shipping

That tire could easily disintegrate with hard driving.

I wouldn't be surprised if that chunk was ripped out by the fenders.

Those things were rubbing like crazy. Look at the circumferential grooves in the edge of the tread blocks. About 1/4" up from the triangle. Goggle image some azenis and you'll see those are supposed to be solid blocks all the way to the sidewall.
