Do you need to compress the springs to line up the holes?

Do you need to compress the springs again to align the holes after the springs have been installed?

Will have to loosen the top nut, but should be able to do by body weight.

How critical is it to maintain the same placement of the strut tower mount bolts?

I tried to note where they were before I took out the strut, but I didn't do a good job and lost track.

mine have been making noises forever. Its super annoying. I don't have any holes to line up either. Anyone else have this problem with coilovers?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Mine just started doing this Tuesday.... weird thing is, ive had my coils on for 3+ yrs...
had my clutch installed (obviously car was lifted) when i drove it off it started doing this during turning the wheel..

I dont recall but do coilovers not include these holes were supposed to line up?
