From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Moved to the right forum.

There seems to be a misconception on lowering with a proper set of springs. I would search/read about the Swift, GTWorx, Robi springs.

On the other hand, I've heard of people having problems with them after two weeks.

I got BC Racing coilovers that will be on sale soon for cheap.

Megan = BC = other coilovers in that price range. Don't expect phonamonal coilovers for $1k, but they are decent.

I've had my Megan streets for about 3 years, zero issues. If you searched you would find about 5 or 6 different reviews, all positive. I would bet 99.9% of the negative feedback come from people who didn't even use them. Their excuse? You get what you pay for. The other
.1% actually might have had a problem.

If you want a budget coilover, Megan is the way to go for sure. Also, the new street sets coming in will finally have 7k/8k spring rates instead of the old 8k/6k.

99% of peoples problems with Megan, or any coilover usually point back to install or maintenance. There was a bad batch of camber plates that had to be take care of through you vendor.

Feel free to PM me if you want some additional info on Megans.

they are not "the same" technically, both companies have their coilovers produced through the same coilover manufacturer, design and r&d are done through the company itself but they out-source for actual production, so the quality in production may be similar but the quality of the materials used and the design of the coilover will differ depending on how the companies (i.e. apexi or megan) want there coilovers built (i.e. if they want to cut cost by substituting a lower grade metal)
