Pro: Havn't heard of them blowing out the stock struts
Lowers the car a bit
Cost
Cons:Reduces the travel in your suspesion
Advice: save the $300 that you would spend on the springs and buy either a used set of megan streets for $500-$600 or brand new for $892 shipped.

I had a similar question a few weeks ago. See this thread
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...installed.html
I bought mine from TireRack for $169 dollars on sale. I installed them myself, it took me about 6 hours, first time I've ever done springs, did it on car jacks with no air tools and went slowly to make sure I did it right. I love the stance the car has now. Rides a little more stiff in general, but actually takes the bumps a little better. I'm going to get pics as soon as it warms up in stupid Ohio. If you have any questions let me know. I didn't find any cons, other than I should have done it a long time ago!

ok cool....thanks for the suggestions .....i dont think that i want to take out bump stops, i think the normal drop height will get me what im looking for....i really dont want to rub...i am running 17x9.5's and i think that if i remove the stops, i might get some rub on deep turns...

I got my spring and rear sway bar kit from greg over at GSC for my Evo VIII that I owned for 3 years. Loved the improvement that it made. Sold car for an Evo IX and bought the same kit for it (nuff said)! Just get them you will not regret it.
