squeaking while moving

so i've picked this up over the past few days and it seems to be getting worse and worse. i've ruled engine/transmission out of it because it still does it while coasting in neutral. but basically i'm getting squeaking from the right side of the car and it seems to get louder and squeak faster as i gain speed...

i'm lowered on stock struts and swift spec-r springs...i'm not sure if this is an axle or cv joint or what?

any help?

thanks in advance

Moved over here.

Have you checked your pads? Could be the wear sensor (bar) rubbing.

OR - wheel bearing. Check for play.

Does it go away when you apply the brakes? Or move the wheel slightly left-right?

is it a squeak from suspension or a ticking coming from a tire in the rear?

possibly your struts are beat up, may need to be replaced. i just had rear strut replaced, i had a squeaking noise when i went over bumps.

or possibly you have abnormal tread wear and may need an allignment

It sounds like your brakes are dragging.

if i apply the brakes decently hard, it does go away. i'll have to get back to you later today about the wheel...

no it's just a constant squeaking while the car is in motion, even if the road is completely flat. the faster i move, the faster and louder it squeaks

is this possible after a proper install? i've done a few auto-x's with them so they might be worn out like mike suggested...the brakes still feel great though and if they weren't squeaking, i wouldn't think that they're worn out

if i do need new pads, can anybody suggest ones that bite harder but put out less brake dust?

thanks a lot guys

When checking the pads, check the inner pad - they tend to wear the quickest. Also make sure no dust or rocks got in there. I have had that happen -- it can make that noise also.

last time i auto-x'd was almost exactly 1 month ago so i don't think boiling the fluid would affect it now

ok the squeaking goes away when i apply the brakes with reasonable force but turning the steering wheel does absolutely nothing...

so worn down pads it is?
