Stuck Coilover

Stuck Coilover
I don't know exactly what the piece is called, but the housing that has the bolt holes to attach the coilover to the hub and threads onto the shock is extremely difficult to remove on my front D2 strut. I have soaked it in PB blaster and holding in in a vice and smacking it with a hammer and it just won't come off. The collar that threads into the bottom was just fine so I know at least half the threads on the shock are good. Jerry @ D2 said it's a piece he's only ever seen stuck once and it will be $200 and 2 weeks before I can get a replacement. Any advice?
It's the piece with the 4 holes on the top right of the pic, on the front coils

I guess I am not the only one with a set of coilovers that are stuck. I have a set of megan tracks that the fronts are stuck. I can move the back set with no problems.
I am about ready to take a torch and heat mine.

Had a similar problem with the stock struts. I tried everything to get the bolts out. Pb blaster, hammering and even torching the bolt. Eventually I broke down and had to take it to a place where they used air tools. They eventually got the bolts out.

No no no, I'm not having trouble removing the bolts, I'm having trouble threading off the purple anodized piece that the bolts go through. It threads onto the shock and determines ride height.

Talking about the 2 that bolt to the hub? You have to torch them if they are rusted into place. Then hammer them out. Coat with anti-seize and reinstall. A local shop can do it in 20 mins, might not even charge you.

The coilover is not even on the car! I don't need help removing any bolts. I need help removing the purple aluminum anodized piece that the bolts go through! I am trying to replace my damaged shock and have to disassemble the unit but this seems siezed.
