I've also had experience. The last time I wanted to back down my driveway about 10 feet, so I didn't feel like cranking the motor over. Not only was it very hard to steer, but I thought I was going to back into the house behind me cause the brakes required a lot of pressure.

Go to a Kart track and drive those around for an hour and then hop in your Evo. First of all, try not whipping a 180 or driving into oncoming traffic, but notice how nice it is for DD. For a DD you will probably want to stick with PS/PAB. Also realize that the kart is only a few hundred pounds, and as Scott said above, it was built with the intent of non-PS/PAB.

You changed your tires and your steering feel became worse and now you want to remove the power steering? Why not buy better tires? Steering isn't really one of the Evo's weak points. I think enough people have said no - what more do you want?

LOL - yeah, the difference is that you'll have even less familiarity with the non power setup, and you will punish yourself driving it only about 500 miles/month.

guys thanks for all the positive input, I tried asking all the questions that I could think of.
Power steering delete might not be a good idea.
Thanks again
