broken strut or cv joint?

OK i know it is not the front right wheel bearing... since i had it replaced 8 months ago. Basically this is what happens when i am turning my steering wheel hard left a thumping noise from the front right wheel! I can feel it a little in my floorboard. At 1st we thought it was the under tray but it is fine... something is wrong i need help guys!

Before expecting the worst, I suggest reinstalling your right wheel. It could be loose. Then check and see if everything is nice and tight. Check and make sure there is no oil residue in the engine bay from where your axels connect to your transfer case which would mean a broken front diff (that one is from my experience lol).

wheel is fine, and no oil residue we checked the car yesterday using a jack, my buddy told me might be a axle or cv joint. Car is fine cruising in a straight line or taking light left turns but when i make a hard left then noise occurs. the noise has been happening for like 2 months i thought it was the under tray i even went to the drag strip and ran a 12.5 lol i doubt it is the diff.

i am not however back in 2007 i hit a curb straight on and i i needed 3 new wheels tires tire rods strut etc. AAA covered it since it was weather related. car was fine till now. however Michigan roads are horrible we got a D- score (NBC news) i have been hitting potholes i mean the roads are just messed up here. But i am thinking it might be a axle?!

After you lift the car and drive do you still hear it? If not wait for it to make the noise again. I think i know what it is coz i have that noise also. When the noise return lift your car again and loosen the 3 bolt that holds the strut just a little until you can shake your springs and get some dirt off also to reposition the spring to the upper bracket then tighten your bolts on top. I did this and i havent heared it again. Is been three months now. Do this first before you replace anything that might not be the problem.

lift the car take a look under it,

1. grab the top and bottom of the wheel and try to rock it back and foward this will tell you ball joint damaged.

2. grab the wheel on the left and right and try to rock it back and foward this will tell you about your tie rods.
