Thread FYI: I've opted to get proper-sized wheels and sell these new, doing without the 0.5" spacers and longer studs.

Good choise. I always wondered why people just dont get the proper size wheels and try and make wheels fit with spacers. I know there is the times out there when proper sizes are not really an option and your just stuck with a wheel, as in your case. But other then that why buy a brand new wheel and not have the right size...

You should probably throw on a 245 on the front and 255s on the rear.
Do you even have an evo Why would you recommend putting two different size tires on an AWD car...I would refrain from dishing out terrible advice that can be a costly mistake. NEVER run different diameter tires on an evo.

I agreed, there are other wheels choices out there with correct offset and spoke design that will work w/ OE brembo, for ex Volk and Rota.

Running spacers up front require longer studs right? I believe many members here don't do it.

It was my mistake based on hearsay. The RPF1's that "fit" only come in 17x8 or 17x8.5. I'm running other Enkeis currently that are 17x9. I wanted the same width and thought the 9's +35 could work. My bad. My time and money wasted. *Shrugs* Live and learn.

What would 10mm of difference make? I use to have an evo 3 like 3 years ago and is a great car... If I had told him to run a 225 on the front then bash away but a 245 and 255 is not the most different tire. Just show me some proof and word on why 10mm would make such a big differnce. If he can run a 255 on then do it but if he needs a bit of tire clearence run a 245 but not any smaller then that. JUN Evo 5 runs two different size tires front and rear and it is a championship car...

Thanks again - remember where you got them from?
How aggressive of camber will you be running exactly?

In the rear? -2.8.

Once corner-weighted, the rear corner in question had to be raised, it seems, anyway. The new 17x8.5+30 rubbed VERY slightly in the rear once the car was lowered to Robispec KW specs...
