Bridgestone Potenza RE050AII runflats?

Hello, I can get a very good local deal on these Runflats 255/4017 but I was wondering is it worth it? what is the negatives of having runflats on an evo? because everywhere that i read I always hear runflats suck! lol so please chime in, thank you.

Why don't you just put some nice truck tires on your high performance car?

I have 050 PPs (supposed to be the high performance ones) and they suck. No grip, slow turn in, mushy sidewalls. Ruined the feel of the car completely. They last forever though

I would imagine the RFs are worse in every way, except that the sidewalls would be a little stiffer. They are heavy, and ride like **** but without the benefit of increased feel or grip.

And RFs can't be repaired (they claim they can, but every time anyone I know has gotten a flat they said it was unfixable). RFs are just a scam by the manufacturers so they do not have to incorporate a spare tire into the design of the car. Do not add them to a car that was not designed for them, because the suspension is not set up for them

Just get Azenis or Z1* or something else, RFs are trash

There is a reason you can get a good deal on them lolz

than call names. I'd rather be a "smart mouth" than a dumb ***.

#1 What is the loudest BOV for my evo?
#2 Why do my brakes make noise?
#3 Why does my engine rev and I don't go anywhere?
#4 Should I get run flat tires?

They will ride a bit stiffer than your typical tire. Most important thing is having a tire pressure monitoring system if you use run flats. Reason is they don't look flat when no air is in them. If driven on too long/fast w/out a monitor telling you no air is present they can fail and bad things can happen. We can't even sell rft tires to someone w/out a monitoring system it's that serious.
