Perfect Ride Height...

I will not likely have this car for 1000 miles anyways. The black evo x's are eyeing me up like nobodys business....
I have heard good about the teins, for 180$ anyways and so what you blow up the stock struts in 10k miles. That will last me two years of driving and I think most people go with coils anyways. But well see, and yes I did search and went with them because of the drop, spring rate, price and availbility.
The megan racing however are the worst.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
*sigh*
You leave zero room for suspension travel. Basically the front bump stops are resting on the struts with the S-techs. They are also too soft. So in a turn, already on the bumps, you bottom the strut out repeatedly. Thus, killing the strut.
Why would you want to put a part on that is know to suck? There are a few great options that are miles better than the S-techs.

****, I forgot about loss of suspension travel, I'm used to being able to just thread the strut up to change ride heights and not loose stroke.
Great, I did forget about that part of things. Well see how it goes.

in my environment, my roads are crappy as hell. i have muellerized jic coilovers and they are rough for daily driving. i've been comtemplating on switching over to stock evo 8 shocks with springs and selling the jic's. i guess it all depends on how the environment is. in cali or florida i would love the jic's but here in wisconsin or anywhere near the midwest would suck..

ok well i just helped my friend put some coilovers the other day.... and his rear is not so aligned by height.... i think he said that one side was like .25 off (maybe not that much or less) from the other.
Should he be worried? How/Where should he measure so that it could be the same w/o taking the coilovers out?
I told him to do it again but he was already tired and it wasn't my car.

You know what i have to say this, quite a few of your replies have been ignorant including one you made towards one of my posts some weeks ago.
S-techs are THE WORST springs for the evo and it doesnt matter if you get a EVO X because you most likely will make a poor decision with that car as well.
Dont listen to us or anyone else that has done tests on this sort of stuff and paved the way for us with trial and error and proven engineering, we are just trying to help you out.
For someone who is a racecar driver you sure dont act like it.

sorry for the OT but I think as far as handling goes I like it with the pinch welds at 7.25'' in the front and 7.75'' in the rear.
It isnt slammed but the car will both ride and handle like crap if it is.

My car will continue to settle for a few days after jacking the car up and adjust ride heights.
If you are doing AX or tracking your car you should try to cornerweight the car if possible.
