Perfect Ride Height...

Our GTWorx springs drop the car just 20mm front and 15mm rear for a couple of reasons.
The first one is strut travel...which is extremely limited on the stock struts. Every inch you drop is an inch of bump travel lost, and you don't have much to spare.
The next is suspension geometry....a major drop can seriously compromise roll center location and result in a loss of handling capability.

It has been proven time and time again that the Tein S-techs suck.
If all you know is Tein S-techs, you might not relieze this.
I bought my first Evo and it already have S-techs installed. I thought they were fine. Rode decently, handled ok, and the drop looked great. I read on hear somebody bashing the S-techs, and I saw it over and over again. Alot of people were recommending Swifts. I figured, I'd give them a try. OMFG!!! What a differance. They're stiffer, yet more comfortable. And they handle SO much better. The drop isn't that much higher the the Tein's, but the ride height is put back into the shocks' useable stroke.
The point is, if you want to be low, then go low. Just relieze that you WILL sacrifce handling. If you want the car to handle well but you're on a budget, pick up a set of Swifts, GTWORX, RobiSpec's, I head WORKS are good and the Esplier (sp?). If you're not on a budget, then research some coil-overs.

I'm a huge fan of the GTWorx springs... run them myself. Going any lower than 1.5" is EPIC fail. Personally I won't go lower than 1". The Evo's suspension geometry goes to *** quickly. Putting an Evo "in the weeds" may look nice, but that's all it does besides KILL the handling.
As for the green springs... I won't even dirty my keyboard typing their name out!

I wonder why Evo owners despise Tein so much but they are extremely popular with other makes/models. I've never been fond of their budget items but there is a lot of hate on here towards their springs. I really hope that's come from more than 1 owner who's had experience with them on their car.

Subaru and EVO owners have been learning that you can't get away with that big drop if you expect good performance. Different car owners look for different things.
Trust me....you get a LOT more drama if you go on the subaru board and ask what they think of TEIN springs.
