Does anyone know if the stock x shocks fit on a IX? Or how could we tell if they would fit?

I might as well ask before someone else does. Is there any particular reason you would want to do this, I didn't think the X shocks were superior at all?

I'm asking because my buddy wants to by my x shocks for his 9 because his stock shocks are messed up. Are there any modifications that need to be done to make them fit.
