Just want to make sure I'm heading in the right direction.

I have had a steering wheel wobble or a pulsation in the brake pedal when I hit my brakes for some time now. I know it is a rotor issue because I had them turned once about a year ago and it went away for about two or three months. I believe there are possible two reasons that the problem came back. First I did not re-bed the pads after turning my rotors. Second when we had everything apart I noticed that the metal bracket at the top of both calipers where angled instead of straight. I have been reading and it seems that for a daily driver on a budget the Duralast Cmax pads work pretty good. I figure I will buy a set of the duralast and then have my rotors turned once more and make sure to bed the pads this time. Does this sound like a solid plan?

I say for the money, just buy the economic stimulus brake kit from Girodisc. Comes with new rotors and pads for for both front and rear at a really decent price. Make sure you torque the wheels to spec, when installing the rotors to prevent warping issues.

Its pad transfer. Incorrectly torqued wheels can quicken it also.

Spec out your rotors, if they are too thin - its time for new ones.

I DO NOT recommend the Duralast pads - absolute garbage. To it right, there are good low cost pads available - use them.

This would appear to be a common problem with OEM rotors, especially when submitted to increased and frequent braking pressure. I have not seen any posts here with dial gauge measurements to support/rule-out warping; however some of us changed the rotors and usually did not experience any further vibration

is there any way to recover from pad transfer? does rebedding solve this?

Sometimes. But cutting (turning) the rotor will fix it - if there is enough rotor left.
