Opinions On Recent Alignment

Just wanted some feedback on the alignment I just had done. Evo IX SE, Bilstein MR/Swift springs, 17x9.5 rims, 255/40 tires.

Looks good. With our camber bolts we cannot get -2 exactly. The average between the fronts is -1.7 (same as what I ran). Rears same as me.

    Tires?

    Tire pressure?

I like 34 front and 36 rear. But then again, I like more oversteer and tail kick.

Tires are Toyo RA-1 ( use for summer), pressure 34 front,36 rear is what I run ( think it was one of your posts that suggested that when I researched). Yep, definetly had tailkick already before alignment .

I have some shaved RA-1 for track-days and am amazed you'll use yours for the street, even if they ARE street DOT, because-
    on the track, at least,
they are scary slick when cold...I'm talking <50% effective...as if the track were wet...of course when dry, they are fantastic
I just, remember thinking, street? no way?

    oh, tire pressures
less and less as I improve my skills- 34 left fr...35 right fr 32 rear
I'm gonna try the rear higher just to see what you're doing....I took my Cusco adj rear sway bar off after I got more and more consistent
just didn't need so much oversteer, but the
higher rear pressure sounds like the next step with the OEM sway bar back on

I agree they are overkill for the street but bought with 300 mi. on them (street) from someone moving up to 18" rims, $420 I think I paid. Had to try them, "hopelessly encouragable". Only use in summer, winter run stock BBS with A/S. For as much as I push the car on the street and twisty back roads they grip fantastic and not as bad in the wet as thought they would be. I'm sure if I was pushing the car any where near as hard on the street as you at the track I would notice the scary cold aspect, I'm far from an expert they just feel fine to me for my driving style. Like I said just overkill for street . Alignment update, just took a 400+ mi. road trip, abought 200 mi. Allegany mounten twisted road from NW Pa., and 200mi. 2-4 lane highway. to southern Va.. Car handled fantastic, big improvement, much more fun to drive on the 400 mi. drive home. Guy who did the alignment said the back was pretty close already to what I wanted, but the front was really wacked.

    well said...avo3vom

    the best thing is...
the RA-1 is very predictable and not sudden whether they are cold or near their sweet spot of190degrees
i wish i could buy more at any price
