Do some searching; there's tons of threads and reviews on it.

Great sticky tires and a great pricepoint.

i have been using this tire for bout 5000 miles and still have plenty of tread left. great tire in both dry and wet and imo i think handle better than the stock advans. got a good deal from tirerack

You have a choice, traction and handling or long mileage. You won't get both in the same tire.

Some years ago Goodyear did tire testing where they only did straight line driving, no aggressive cornering, and even their sticky tires wore very slowly. Well, sticky tires with stiff sidewalls invite cornering, you can't resist. So, aggressive tires wear quickly.

I got the Nitto NT-05 and kinda think I should have gotten the Star Specs. The star spec felt more confident

This.

I got 18-20k on my old Z1 set. And that was with AX and 2 track days on them. Wore to the cored at the end of their life.

If you just DD, I suggest the Gy Eagle GTs, they will last longer, but give up some of the ultimate grip to the Z1*s.

z1 is a loud tire compared to some of the others. However it is by far one of the best handling ones for a decent price. If you want long mileage get continential all seasons.

Yeah after my z1's wore in a bit, say about 5k miles, the road noise was noticeably louder than my old Advans. Doesn't matter to me though as they are just bad *** performing tires, and at an awesome price point! Love these tires

Definatly louder then my old Bridgestones but I just installed them and set my alighnment up for drag racing it at the Turbo Trix Shootout. I will admit I have gone diving into turns and I have nothing but confidence with these tires. Great tires get them.
