An Annoying Grinding Noise Coming from Pass. Rear Brake While Turning??

Hey Guys-

I finally got my car running and there is a loud annoying grinding/churning type noise while I'm turning coming from the Passenger Rear brake/wheel area.. Any of you have any idea? I'm going to be taking the wheel off soon for inspection and want to know what to specifically look for.. I was possibly think that maybe the dust shield was hitting the rotor or the pad was loose and was grinding on the rotor.. These are brand new rotors (not broken in yet) and brand new pads (not broken in yet). The brakes are bled entirely with no air in the system.. Please help, greatly appreciate, thanks!!!

Wheel bearing? Check to see if your hub has any play.

I have had a wheel bearing go out on another car and i doesnt sound anything like this.. im not thinking that is it.. I'm thinking it has something to do with the new rotor/pad or possibly that dust shield..

any one else? thanks

I am having that issue with my back rotor, I think the noise could be coming from the metal wear indicator. On mine, it's because it's time for a new change. For a brand new set, I would try to check the fitment. Maybe something during installation moved everything.

Goodluck

Check the dust shields, inner and out pad thickness and make sure the pads are not cracked or damaged.

Might be the drum brake inside your disc brake. That happened to me on a previous car, though the noise was persistent, not just on turns.

Same problem here... And not while I turn. It's the rear passenger. I haven't hit anything nor "fell". It sounds like I'm dragging an anchor. Actually, 3 anchors. Anyone out there that doesn't think I should keep driving with this noice?

Update: also sounds like I'm dragging a bag of crickets... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Help
