The stock endlinks really aren't that bad from a durability standpoint, but adjustable endlinks will let you adjust the preload of the sway bars, especially important if the bar is adjustable. For corner weighting purposes, you would want the bars to jack as little weight as possible once they are reconnected, and adjusting the endlinks will allow you to change how much weight is being jacked to each corner of the car. The effect of this is that the car has the same amount of grip when turning in both directions.

Ahhh, gotcha. I understand now. Well, from a durability stand point on a DD, I think the stockers are the way to go. $180 links lasting 1 year is unacceptable IMO.

*edit*, as others said, it's cheaper to build your own. chassisshop.com has Aurora end links at a good price.
wow that sucks, I see your in Ohio did you try spraying them down with an inhibitor?
I know that road salt will destroy any exposed metal not covered with something.

Why would they only last 1 year? The ones I built 18+ months ago look and perform like they are practically brand new.

Not sure guys. They had the rubber boots on them but they are still rusted to ****. I can post pics if you like. Most likely if I ever track the car I'll go with DIY links with Aurora rod ends. I've heard they are the best.

Agreed. I used the same McMaster parts in your guide and mine still work like new after almost a year and a season of auto-xing.

Possibly the McMaster stuff is better quality than what Whiteline uses?

Another good place to check out for DIY endlink parts is MidWest Control Products.

Im currently running a rear adjustable sway bar, and a set of perrin endlinks, it has been almost a year, they so far have been good, a few issues when just installed, and we were able to take care of any rubbing issues. don't get me wrong though I wanted to get some whitelines as well, its as the perrins were easier to get. My question is has anyone run an aftermarket sway bar (marginal thicker one 27-28mm) with the stock endlinks? have they bend or change their shape? I was afraid that might be the case. That's why I upgraded them.
Thanks in advance.

i have had the perrin endlinks on the car for over two years without any problems. With an adjustable bar the stock endlinks are hard to change all the time as there is no way of holding the bolt from turning.

My only suggestion is to make sure that the end links stay tight. I run on an old airstrip with a lot of cracks in the asphalt and everything solid mounted comes loose.

But to answer your question, I believe that either rear links will work fine. Like many other aftermarket parts they take a little maintenance. This may include cleaning the rod ends and such. This thread gave me an idea to perhaps put a little grease in the boots to help keep crud out of the rod ends.
