uneven tire wear

I just noticed that the outside edge of my tires are wearing funny. I have had this happen on another one of my cars in the past and it was because the alignment was out of spec. Has anyone else had this happen to their evo?

are your tires over inflated??? or underinflated??? or maybe you have too much positive camber???? how are your driving habits?? maybe this would help get a better answer.

How many miles on your car? Ever had an alignment? Ever hit a huge pot hole or curb? Are the inside tread blocks wearing the same as the outside? If so you are underinflated.

Yes, the uneven tire wear can probably be corrected through alignment.

Please elaborate on what you mean by funny wear on the outside edge, and is it all four tires, just the fronts, just the rears, or just a single tire? Too much wear on the outside edge could be caused by incorrect camber setting, by too much toe-in, by underinflation of the tires, or simply by too much hard cornering.

How do the inside edges of the tires look?

It's just wearing on the out side front tires. They are just kind of rounded of with a little bit higher tread on the front of the block on the tread. Like from to much toe in. never had the car aligned

Do you have one edge of the tread blocks which has a feathered edge? Kind of like a tiny little "spoiler" on the edge of the tread block?

If so, and if it's most pronounced on the outside edge of the front tires, you've got too much front toe-in. The factory spec is for zero toe-in at the front, if I'm not mistaken.

The tiny little spoiler describes it to the T. I just got factory specs from mitsu an you were correct. 0 toe in. Thanks
