Does anyone know the difference between the different lines of ferodos. The DS2500, DS3000(plus and endurance), DS3500 and the DS4003. And would it be bad if I used the DS3000's for aggressive street use? Also how long do they roughly last?

Geeze man, just stick with the DS 2500's. They are heads and shoulders above stock or Project Mu NS/B-Force that I have used. Not to mention, I killed the OE pads by about 20k... I then swapped in the DS 2500s, and I now have over 46k with over half the pads left. Not to mention that the rotor wear has be at least 1/2 that or less than 1/2 the OE pads.

I've done many 150mph runs locking down the car to around 50mph or so and have yet to fade them. Granted, I don't use them, nor recommend them for heavy tracking, but I think they are about perfect for the aggressive daily driver. They dust less than OE, and are quiet (barring an occasional squeak in reverse) as long as you use both the OE metal shims and the OE fiber shims that you have to peal off the OE pads.

PS, you can get a full set of DS 2500's front and rear from RaceShopper.com for around $250 shipped!

Wow - talk aboout "back from the dead"! This thread is almost two years old.

For the record - my finial opinion on Carbotech pads is: Carbotech XP-8 = Great street/track crossover goodness (with proper noise supression) - I'll be buying these again. Carbotech Bobcats = OEM replacement only (with proper noise supression) - not for me.
