Enkei RPO2's. I am getting mine - 17x9, 35mm offset, for about $200/ea. You can also get it in 17x8 w/ 40mm offset. It weighs 17.7# in 9" or 17.2# in 8". 17x9 is nice b/c it fits and it lets you plant the tire on the ground better, particularly a larger tire like the 255/40/17 (which looks great on my car).

Lighter but also a little more expensive is the Enkei RPF1, which weighs only 15.9# in 17x8.

See both wheels at: http://www.enkei.com/High%20Performance.html

Enkeis are available from a lot of dealers, and probably some of the vendors on this site.

Enkei RPF-1's weight 15 lbs even, you can't get the Superleggera for the EVo in 17 right now.

You can get Superleggera 3-piece, but not the one piece and the 3-pc are damn sure more than $350 each. OZ is also coming out with a new Superturismo wheel that looks the wheel on the Audi R8 sports racer and a lot like an evolution (no pun intended) of the Evo VI wheel. I might wait to see what it looks like in person before I decide on wheels.

SSR makes some tight wheels, light as hell and look bad *** too. The competitions are like 12.5 lbs in 17X17.5 I believe. They are a little expensive though. Gruppe-s has the best price I think Ive seen for 345 a wheel. All their wheels are extremely light and strong though. You might want to check them out, Im pretty positive tirerack has them too.

For bang for the buck, it's hard to beat the Enkei RPF1 (http://www.enkei.com/HPSpecPAGES/rpf1Specs.html) if you want to stay with 17x8. I sprang for Volk CE28N-L wheels, which are forged and lighter by about two pounds, but they cost about twice as much...

I can't verify size at the moment, but Team Dynamics makes a really light racing wheel. In fact they should fit as they use these on European EVO's in Rally competition. www.rimstock.com
I can get these at my shop.

That's what I'm using for competition wheels. I paid $950 for four wheels including shipping, which is well under your price point.

I was told they weigh 15.5 lbs each. Definitely a lot lighter than stock.

Apparently the RPF1 is pretty strong for a non-forged wheel. See this testimonial to the strength of the RPF1 wheels: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...49#post4184249

So it looks like the RPF1's in silver, since the gold would luck very ugly on a silver car. Where did you get that deal of $950 shipped? Thats a very good price. It looks like they weigh in about 5-6 pounds lighter than stock also. Oh do you have any pics of them on your EVO?

Yes, I have a picture.

I got that deal right here off of evolutionm.net: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...threadid=32078

Note that you can see in the picture that I didn't get any center caps for the RPF1 wheels, since I only use them for competition, and the center caps are nothing but extra weight.

If you plan to use the RPF1's on the street, you almost certainly want center caps; in that thread I referenced, the vendor quoted $80 for center caps.

Also budget for a set of 20 conical seat lug nuts. The lug nuts which come stock with the Evo have a flat seat and will not work with the RPF1 wheels. I paid $69 for super-lightweight forged aluminum lug nuts from Mach V: http://www.machevo.com/foallugnutse.html

I like the look of those. Are they the 35 or 45mm offset?
