The Hankook Ventus V12's evo in 245/40/17 are on sale for $99 a tire right now. They're a summer tire but you probably don't see that cold of temps where you're at? Anyway they're supposed to be a great tire for the evo. $50 dollar rebate from Hankook if you buy 4, free shipping as well. That's a new set of nice shoes for $350+tax. Hard to beat that.

there are advantages and disadvantages of 18's
There is many different tires in both categories
and depending on what your doing the performance can be match equally in both sizes.
the v12's are a fairly new tire and they're "ok" so far in ratings. if youd like a full summer performance tire try the Hankook rs3
or the advan neova ad08
