Homemade ice tires

I will be racing in a circle track this winter and wanted to make some ice tires. I also have some Hankook I-pike snow tires if its going to be mostly snow on the track.
245 45 17
180 1''long 1/4 Thick bolts/Tire
180 Locking Nuts/Tire
360 Washers/Tire
1 tube/tire

Suspension is JIC FLA-2's

Engine set-up :

Built 2.0
TRE Transmission
SLS 6262 Turbo Kit
old turbo kit made 535hp on a borgwarner s256

If anyone has ever made these tires please chime in!!

Pretty cool. Are you sure you have enough clearance to clear the 1" bolts along with the larger 245/45 tires?

Are you allowed to sharpen the bolts? The ones I have seen have a few more bolts in them.

The first one took 4 hours to do. The 2nd one was around 2 hours... I knew what I wanted to do after the first was done..

I do have a tire mounting machine and balancer but don't think they will balance out.. I don't think it will be a big deal tho.. I will see how far they are off for ****s.

Yes we can sharpen the bolts.. I will be jacking up the suspension 2'' I may have to trim some of the front bumper, or I can let the bolts do it hahah...

If I can't get traction I can add more bolts.

'as is' yes they will leak. I will be adding a piece of belting (rubber) between the bolt heads and tube that will be going in .

there are several ways to seal them

the guy that built the tires below used windshield sealer and it worked for him. On my spare tire built ice tires I tried silicone, no go, slime sucked worse I now have carpet between bolt heads and inner tubes and that seams to work I believe that's how they do it on motorcycle tires. You have to be careful with clearance that's one of the reasons I went with the spare tire build. Get yourself a snowmobile spike sharpener they're pretty cheap.
