Hankook W300 On Evo In Snow??
These tires are crazy cheap. $100 shipped to your door. I was wondering if they are any good. They also have a speed rating of VR. That's perfect since that's usually the highest speed I go. Anyone used these? I plan to put them on my stock rims and then probably go 17" Volks/Rays if I have enough money and put the stock tires back on those during the summer.

EXELLENT SNOW TIRE regardless of price. It's speed rated and performs real well in the dry also for a snow tire. But that's cause it's a "performance snow tire". I would dare compare it to the Blizzaks LM series. If anything the blizzaks might be a little better on ice due to their multi-cell rubber compound which imo breaks down after the first season (from heat cycling) and is worthless there after.
Anyway no doubt in my mind the Hankook 300 is the way to go! If you guys want something for deeper snow, try the 404 by Hankook. It's also studdable.

I ran these on the stock wheels for a winter. They were great but did not handle anywhere close to any high performance tire. I am now running the Pirelli P Zero Nero M&S and they do pretty well in the snow but a TON better in the dry.
