Need help deciding on which tires to purchase...
So its that time for some tires...I need them pretty badly too. I have done a lot of reading up on different tires so Mods please don't delete this. I am only at 47k miles & about to purchase my 4th set of tires. I have another set of rims with some v710s mounted to them for autox & road course action. Because of that I am not looking for sticky extreme performance summer tire. The tires I am about to purchase I want to last me at least 30k miles. They will be used for daily driving & 1 or 2 trips to the 1/4 a month. Just like everyone else funds are tight so with mounting/balancing, alignment & tires, I have come to conclusion with 2 tires. Please don't post blah blah just get the star spec or blah blah RE-11 or blah blah AD08s because I don't want or need those. Here are the 2 tires I have picked...
Nitto NT 555 Extreme Performance - 255/40/17
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...w=false&cs=255
BF Goodrich g-Force Sport - 255/40/17
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...w=false&cs=255
If you have had either of those tires please post pros & cons. Let me know why you would get 1 of them over the other. IF there is a 3rd tire that falls in the same price range & performance of these & you would recommended them over these please post them. Thanks for your help.

32k out of rt615s???? How the hell did you do that? I have them on my car now & i only have 14k miles on them & ill be lucky to get another 2k out of them, I will def. not buy them again. I don't even have any autox events on them. You are right about the price though, I picked mine up for around $600 with sales tax...

I have 255/40/17 falken azenis rt 615's for my summer tires. Cheap and very grippy. They have a nice stiff sidewall. I might buy them again. I think I have 1 more season left on them.
They do wear quickly. After a good amount of research I'm probably going with nitto NT05's next time around. They're slightly more than what you have linked, about $150 ea. I've read some good reviews. They're supposed to be surprisingly good in the wet which is surprising if you look at the tread. There's on track reviews here at evom if you search. People say they are similar to the rt615's but better in many ways. They're one of nitto's newest tires based on the NT01 r comps but streetable.
Out of your two links I would go with the nittos. FYI If you're looking for a great deal on a great summer tire the buzz on the forums and from niel@tirerack is the hankook ventus v12 evo k110 is one of the best budget performance tires for the evo around right now.
$116 ea

Hey I think I met you at the last meet in Moorseville, at Taylor's dyno. I had the back 03 viii, and we talked about being from the fayetteville area.
Anywho, I have the hankook ventus v12 evo k112's, and they have out performed any tire I have had (falken ziex 512, bridgestone potenza, kumho ask and ast, and federal 595 ss). No auto x, but great in the mountains, and one time at the strip. Tires hold well at the limit, although they are very quiet(I have yet to make them squeal). I have around 5000 hard miles and they are holding up well. I would very much recommend them.

My last set of tires were the g-force and for what you are looking for they are good. They are noisy after a while but have a decent tread life. Don't know if you will get 30,000 out of them unless you do a lot of alignments and rotations. Did you look at the Yokohama S-Drives. I have them now and like them a lot. Very quiet compared to the g-force.
