Brake Rotors

So, I have to get my rotors re-surfaced, but I want to upgrade to drilled/slotted rotors. I've started searching and they're pretty pricey so I guess I'm gonna start with the front first. Let me know what you guys have done or what you recommend. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't particularly suggest drilled. The average drilled rotor can crack -- around the drill holes -- under pressure.

Drilled are a bad choice and even slotted for the most part are pointless and will only lead to faster pad wear. Get a quality set of blanks such as the Centric Premiums.

What slotted rotor would you go with?

Interesting, many people suggest going with slotted at least. Thanks for your in put and knowledge.

Brembo has aftermarket rotors for the Evo, one piece, available slotted or drilled.
Great advantage: they harmonize with the stock pads (not all rotors like all pads, for example project mu rotors and the stock pads don´t match- what a mess!!)

Brembo drilled front part#FD.121.000
Brembo drilled rear part# RD.122.000

Brembo slotted front part# FS.121.000
Brembo slotted rear part# RS.122.000

the pair for around $ 400, rears slightly cheaper, slotted or drilled cost the same

DBA 4000s are very good rotors that don't break the bank (because you don't always have to do so to get a decent product). You can use these matted with Ferodo DS2500s (or DS3000 --track use only).

Pretty much exactly what I would have said.

Highly doubt the rotors are actually warped. The most likely cause is pad material transfer. Do you see hot spots on the rotor surface? What pads where used?

DBA5000's are my top choice; a great rotor all around, just pricey at ~$700 for the fronts. You can also go with the DBA4000's, which are quite a bit cheaper due to them being a 1-piece design vs a 2-piece design, but nonetheless a great rotor for dd'ing and the occasional tracking.

I agree, DBA 4000s are indeed awesome.
