255/40/R18 or 255/35/R18

I recently ordered a set of Dark Gunmetal 18x9 +29 offset Advan Rs wheels from Eric at Driveline Motoring, Hopefully I'll receive them late February or early March since they were ordered from Japan because they did not have them instock. I don't want to roll my fenders so I'm having a hard time figuring out which is the best tire size for this combo 255/35/18 or 255/40/18 I'm Lowered on Tein S. Tech lowering springs with stock Evo Ix Mr Blistein shocks I will using Falken Azenis for sure, thanks ahead of time .

255/35/18 is the way to go (That's what I'm on now). I think the 255/40/18 is a little too big on a tein S drop.

35 will keep the outside diameter of the tire closer to stock. So you speedo and odometer will be more accurate.

He would probably have to roll his fenders to do that.

OP- If you want a street tire for the track, star specs are your best best.

i highly doubt you will have much fender gap with 255 35 if you are lowered on tein. Don't do 40. 35 is the way to go.
