Thoughts on new Direzza star spec 265-40-17
i was just wondering if any one has bought these yet? will they fit the stock bbs mr wheels? i have 5 mm spacers if needed? let me know what you guys think, or if i should just get the 255-40-17.........thanks

It really depends what you are looking to do. With a 245 you can run either a 40 or 45 sidewall. Both have there ups and downs. I am still not set with with what I am going to get however I think I would prefer the shorter sidewall. It should help turn in response at the cost of a couple mph.

Would these rub on anything if i were to use a 17x9 with stock height suspension? '05 RS. Fender rolling surely wouldn't be necessary or would it? I'm thinking of using some 17x9 JIC wheels with a +30 offset and these tires.

Go to the motorsports section and read up. Pretty much everyone running an Evo in the Stock Class in autocross runs a 275/40/17 and you're restricted to a stock size wheel. It's been done for years now. I'm talking autox competition only, not on the street or track.

I've been using the 245/40 18's on my evo X wheels with no problems. Def. want to get those things off before it snows, i got caught this year in the snow with them and it was not a pretty sight
