Hoka snow tires
Here are the pics of the snow tire every one should have. The haka 2 should help keep out of trouble this winter, I hope . The weather still looks good here so I did not mount them this weekend. I'll post when I do.

Yeah, snow tires designed in Scandenavian countries are pretty much the best in the world. Just learned (after ordering Blizzak's) that you CAN use studded snow tires in Indiana.... I grew up in Michigan where you can't use studded and didn't even think about it. Oh well.

winter snow tires
Thanks for the belief you show in the Nokian Hakkapeliita 2 studded snow tire. Probably one of the finest snow tires made today.
I hope that you really enjoy the ride and control that you will have with these tires.
If there is anything else I can do, please do not hesitate to call me.
Thanks again

How do these compare to the Bridgestone WS-50's? I'm in need of winter tires within the next 1-3 weeks.
Our winter is kind of bad at times.. but the roads are clear a lot too.. will these last a decent amount of time on pavement?
Bob where is your store located?
Thx!

ws50 vs nokian
The Nokian snow tires are made and tested in Finland. Ther eis no better place to test these tires than there.
I know I may sound like an ad for Nokian, but I have a set on my vehicle right now (in another model) and have enjoyed the traction I received last year from them.
Personally, I have seen the Bridgestone Blizzak lose grip as the tread wears down and lose traction. The Nokian tires have full depth sipes that allow the tire to retain it's gripping power for the life of the tire.
If I can be of further assistance, please feel free to call me.

Yeah! Nokians rock!! I have some nokian hakka q's. I tested them on my Vishnu up-pipe equipped 240 hp WRX last year. full throttle from 0 to 80 mph they gripped so well it felt like i was on gravel instead of fresh snow. unfortunately they are 16's so i can only use them on my AWD Expo LRV, but its a better snow car anyway.

nokian / MaxR,
thanks for the reply's,
I was mainly curious how the 225/45 would fit on the stock 8" rim?
I was a little worried since the 235 advans look like they still leave plenty of clearance left for a larger tire..
Also...It looks like these tires are available without studs.
I drive alot of highway miles and I'm wondering if I would regret getting them? I did a few road trips in a buddies saab last year with them, and it didn't seem bad at all. Also, do they hinder the handling much?
Also..could you tell me what the speed rating is?
Sorry for all the questions
just looking to make a decision fast.
i actually bought a set of Contintental Extreme All seasons about a month ago, which I've decided to return after reading some reviews about them lately.
thanks again,
Rob
