Coilovers taken apart need some expert advice
Mods I believe this is an advanced topic but if you feel it is in the wrong section n please move thanks.
Hey guys I have a blown coilover the brand is racing gear the model is JTC N1 circuit damper, these are a high end japanese coilover which can be seen on Creds website and I am in the process of rebuilding it. The manufacturer is not responding to calls or emails so I am trying to salvage what I have. I have the o ring seals but I need some expert advice on the damper part of the coilover. I have attached pictures of the bottom seals. There is also a teflon seal on the base of the piston. This is on the gray section at the bottom, the smooth white plastic seal is right above the gray seal, followed by the grooved, off white seal. These are not supposed to be cracked. I am working on this with a buddy who does dirtbike shocks. This is a similar setup but We can not find parts. Do these resemble any other brand of coilover you people may have seen? Do we have any suspension rebuilders on here? Any help on this rebuild is appreciated. Thanks

I would do option 2....throw those damper inserts in the trash where they belong. I don't think they were that great to begin with, i don't care who's website they were on.
THEN....use those shock bodies and stuff some Koni inserts in there. That would be fantastic. Better damping, cheap, rebuildable, etc.
Here's an example:

Don't worry about the D_Rex extender on the bottom....that's a Subie thing and I wouldn't bother for this case.
