OK, we all get about the same type of winter.
I need to make up my mind on what to go with as far as winter set up.
I have done searches and read a lot about all kinds of tires. I have seen a lot of good comments on many winter and ultra-high performance all season tires.
I am leaning towards the all season for two reasons. You can't beat the price on the HTR+ for example. The other thing is. There is some snow, however 80+ % of the time I will driving on clean roads, as they do a good job about keeping the roads clear.
My question, will a tire like the HTR+ out perform a winter tire on dry but really cold conditions?
I would think so.
anyone care to share what they are going to use!
Thanks,

Just had Continental ContiExtremes put on. NO idea how they'll be yet, but alot of support from others who've put them on... *shrug*
We'll see! I'm just pissed at Sumitomo because of their HTRZ2s I put on my Celica were ****... Sears, however, sells an all season that's on my wife's Civic that work rather well...
Just keep doin' research and watch who the hell you have put them on!

I put the HTR's on last weekend. The treadblocks squirm around quite a bit, but once the car gets done leaning over on them, it feels pretty stable. They are also quieter and softer riding than the Yok's. They got good snow reviews on Tire rack, so I figured why not take a chance. The price is certainly right.

I purchased Semperit form Discount tire, they gave me a good deal $86.00 a tire. European made winter traction, H-speed rated. I'm in the service and I work shifts, my decsion was based on the fact that most of the time I'll beat the plows out, I'm also mission essential.
