I ran RG2 alot on my s2000 for the track and had no problems. I think it may just be a freak accident.

I had a crack on my RCII's a few years back and Mackin Industries replaced mine. They were very helpful.

True story. I know Work has their cast line and then they have the forged line, the difference is about $1,000, but Advan doesn't have the same thing?

Sorry to hear about this and it's never funny/good to see this happen or to have the burden of excess cost. However it is funny to me that if this was a thread about Rota's it would be 20 pages long from all the people talking smack and the nut huggers.. Best of luck OP I hope you find a great deal on what you need!

The Advan RG-II is a CAST FACE with a FORGED barrel using MAT technology.

No wheel is make to be bulletproof. I stand by my RG-II's after the accident.

I was hit by a GMC silverado. This wheel took the blunt force of the accident chopping the spindle of the truck in half leaving it on 3 wheels. The wheel did NOT crack.

This wheel is also on the HKS time attack car for good reason. It is a VERY strong, lightweight wheel.

OP it is unfortunate what happened to you. I hope you get it all sorted out and roll on those RG-II's again in the near future!

most repair shops don't repair cracks anymore due to liability issues. good choice in getting a new one.
