rolled fenders ??
as many of you may know this is an endles thread wit me loll but i own a evo9rs and recently purchased 17x9 team dynamics pro race 1.2
now i know the front is going to clear with no problem its just the back im worried about i dont want it to rub !!
ive been seeing on all the forums guys roll there fenders
i know this might sound like a stupid question but by rolling the fenders do they arch it out more in height to give it clearence or do they roll them out to cover the rim ??
and also around how much we talking about money wise would a body shop charge to roll a fender ??
i know this sounds like a dumb question but i have completely no knowledge on rolling fenders and never had a clearance issue with rimson any previous car
thanks !

ok.. so after we finished the wing.. we decided to get the fenders rolled so we can lower the car a bit more at the same time it will allow us to run wider and meaner tires.
Since we bought a fender rolling tool to tackle this job, this should be fairly easy to tackle. My partner Devin took the matter into his own hands and demonstrated how its done. Enjoy!
1) This is what a fender rolling tool looks like.
2) Here is a picture of a fender roller mounted onto the axle-hub.
3) You want to start rolling by pressing the roller on the edge of the inner fender.
4) Use a heat gun to soften the clear coat and paint.. this way you won't crack the paint too much while rolling.
5) Gently rolling the inner fender back and forth.. be precise.. don't panic!
6) Repeat the above procedures until you are satisified with the result. flatter the better.
7) Viola! smooth and clean! Now we put more aggressive size/offset wheels and adjust the suspension even lower.

You dont have to buy the tool. you can rent the tool... The only thing i would worry about is making your paint peel. If you dont get it at the right temp your paint will peel. IF your really worried about your paint I would just let a body shop do it for you.
