"anti lock" light on after full lock uturn

just like the title said, I was making a uturn at full lock to the left and had to get out of the way in a hurry. a little bit a gas with little drama and I was on my way, until the ANTI LOCK light came on and all three ACD lights stay illuminated. The ACD lights have since gone back to normal , but the ABS is not functioning at this time. Im too tired to go pulling wheels off right now, but what should I be looking for when I do? I know if tooth snaps on the tone ring it could cause this but I would think that to be weird not having hit any thing...Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys

I'd look for unplugged sensors, ripped wires, etc. You probably over extended the wire if I had to guess. That's the only thing I can think would happen from a full lock turn.

well, i couldnt resist and jacked the front passenger wheel up. Found what i presume is an ABS sensor wire. it is intact on the caliper side and severed from the engine bay side. Do you know where it goes to?

Up into the fender well. You most-likely will need a new sensor - they have a plug in in the well.

Found the sensor. The wire actually ripped out of the harness in the fender well. The sensor side appears to be OK. I soldered the wire back up to the harness and plugged it in, but the anti lock light is still on. I haven't driven it yet so I don't know if it will turn its self off. I am going to try to scan it with my friends snap on scanner, and possibly test with another functioning sensor. Any ideas guys?

That harness could still be shot.

Can you test a working harness? Borrow a friends for a few minutes?

thats what I am going to be doing tomorrow. testing a working harness and hoping that it clears up. I am not sure if there is a procedure that resets the DTC for the ABS. the manual calls for resetting it via the MUT tool and rediagnossing so I dont know if the code stores and stays in there even if you fix the problem. I am going to try to unplug the battery for 10 min and see if that does anything.

if your rim cracked you may have busted a tooth on the axle. take the wheel off and look to make sure none of the teeth are busted off.
