Powerslots with Brembo pads??
I'm about to do the front brakes and I was wondering if anyone was running this setup? I like the way the stock brakes feel and don't wanna change that. Probably gonna get some SS lines while I'm at it too. I'm not too worried about a little noise from the brakes as long as they work properly.
Or should I go with a set of Hawk pads?
Thanks.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Do not get Hawk HPS, they have no bite.
Stock pads are way overpriced. I recommend GranSport GS6 or GS5, Axxis ULTs, or DS2500.
Should feel no different with the PS rotors.
SS lines will change feel.

Hawk/Powerslot together has always been a good combination for us. I went from the oe Brembo pads on my G35 6MT to the Hawk HPS and felt they were very similar in initial and high temp bite, but with less dust.

I'd recommend either the Ferodo DS2500 or CL Brakes RC5+. Both will give you better bite than stock. You'll have a little more noise, but a large increase in heat capacity and overall performance. They are more money initially, but they'll last you a lot longer than stock or the Hawk's, so they're actually a good value.
Here are the front evoIX pads:
CL Brakes RC5+
Ferodo DS2500
While they are quiet and have low dust, the bite and heat capacity on the HPS pales in comparison to the pads above, and is likely less than stock.
